FAQs & Policies

How do i sign up for a game?
Upcoming games are listed on our online schedule — check availability and lock in your spot. It’s $10 to play. You can book online and pay via PayPal or message Brittney to reserve your spot and pay via Venmo (@brittneytewks) or Zelle (brittneytewks@gmail.com).
Once we reach 15 players, a waitlist opens. If 7 or more join the waitlist, we’ll open a second court and move those players to the game day roster. Spots go fast—sign up early!
-
What’s your cancellation & credit policy?
All bookings are final. If you cancel 24+ hours before game time and we’re able to fill your spot, you’ll receive a credit for a future session (no refunds). Cancellations made within 24 hours or no-shows are not eligible for credit. We rely on player count to lock in full courts—thanks for understanding and helping us run clean, competitive games.
-
Can I get added from the waitlist?
Yes! If enough players sign up to open a second court—or if someone drops—you’ll be moved from the waitlist to the game day roster. You’ll be notified by email or direct message.
-
What should I bring?
Indoor basketball shoes, water bottle to stay hydrated, and white and dark shirts or a reversible jersey – helps keep teams clear and games flowing with new players and rotating lineups. FCC Hoops reversible jerseys available for $15 — not required, but popular with regulars and a great way to support the group.
-
What is the skill level?
Most players are intermediate — meaning you’ve played pickup before, understand spacing, movement, and team play, and can hold your own in a fast-paced game.
It’s a fun, competitive community where we run hard and play smart. You don’t need to be a star—but this isn’t a beginner-level run either. If you love the game and can keep up, you’ll fit right in.
-
What's the format?
We play full-court, coed, 5v5 pickup basketball. We pull cards at game time to make teams—your suit is your squad. This keeps it random, quick, and fair so we don’t waste time picking teams— just pull and play.
Games are to 11 (1s and 2s, straight up)
The losing team shoots to stay on and fill the next available spots. Subs help run the scoreboard while they’re out. Sometimes we’ll cap the games at 11 minutes to keep pace and keep legs fresh.
Final game of the day goes to 15, win by 2
We keep the rotation moving—based on turnout, if you sit out, it’s usually just for one game. The vibe is fast, fun, and focused on keeping everyone playing.
-
When should I arrive?
Please aim to arrive 10–15 minutes before game time to stretch and warm up.
I usually get there about 20 minutes early to set up and shoot around—come early if you want to get extra shots up!
We pull teams right at game time using cards (your suit = your squad). Showing up late can throw off team balance and game flow—so thanks for being on time and helping us start strong!
If you’re ever unsure about where to go or how to get in, reach out ahead of time and we’ll make sure you’re set.
